Gates can be automated to either swing open or to slide open and in the case of swinging gates the opener may be concealed underground or may be gate mounted. The most suitable opener for your installation will depend on the space available and the type of gate selected. Whilst it may seem that you just want to control your gate by hand remote there is usually more to consider: postman, milkman, paperboy etc. Friends and relatives arriving by vehicle and on foot. CONTROL PANEL - For one or two motors, independent force adjustments, hugely popular control panel for use with swinging and sliding gate motors. Push button programming is achieved by scrolling through a comprehensive menu on the L.C.D. display. Auto-set values can be utilised to best suit individual applications.
LOCKS - Whilst some gate systems include locking devises, a variety of locks can be incorporated into any gate system to maximise the security.

KEY SWITCHES - A sturdy metal key switch for exterior mounting. This is a simple electrical switch operated by a key. Commonly added to a key ring for operation of gates when walking. Also useful as a low priced means of control when a large number of users require access.
LOOP DETECTORS - A loop is a coil of wire set in the road or driveway surface and connected to a loop detector. When powered the loop projects a magnetic field above the road surface to detect metal masses (vehicles). The signal recieved by the presence of a vehicle can be used to control opening and closing of gates or as a safety feature.
PHOTOCELLS - An infra-red beam across the opening prevents the gate from closing whilst a vehicle or other obstruction is present.
KEYPADS AND TIMER CONTROLS - You could opt for a traditional hardwired intercom system. Alternatively, you can have a wireless system which unlike a traditional hard wired intercom lets you walk around with a wireless phone. GSM intercom systems are also available - they are very popular as they utilise your existing landline telephone system and can work in conjunction with your mobile phone. Authorised visitors can have access to and from your property by a dedicated code, providing the flexibility of security and convenience, whilst allowing full access to family and friends. Codes can be pre-set during particular times of the day limiting access to the postman, milkman etc., whilst retaining control over casual visitors.
